About Us
InnoVision Awards is South Carolina’s premier organization dedicated to the advancement of innovation and technology. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023. InnoVision Awards is the only awards program of its kind – a grass roots, volunteer led non-profit made-up of businesses, organizations, universities, and individuals dedicated to finding innovation and technology in products, services, and education from across the state, and recognizing and honoring peers for achievements in their respective fields. InnoVision Awards is the mark of distinction for outstanding leadership, innovation, and technological excellence.
The InnoVision Board maintains commitment to support, honor and celebrate technology and innovation through three primary activities:
- The annual InnoVision Awards Ceremony held in November.
- InnoVision Forums, educational business networking events.
- Meet the Finalists event that showcases finalists and their innovations to the public before the Awards Ceremony.
InnoVision’s Objectives:
- Honor and highlight South Carolina organizations and individuals that develop or apply technology to produce new commercial innovations.
- Advance technical collaboration and innovation among organizations and individuals.
- Promote and support youth engagement in science, math, and technological innovation.
- Honor programs that improve the quality of life in South Carolina communities.
- Honor programs whose technologies protect earth’s natural resources.
Founded in 1999, InnoVision Awards is a grassroots, volunteer-led, non-profit organization of businesses, universities, other organizations, and individuals dedicated to celebrating technological innovation in products, services, education, and community service. We recognize impactful innovations at our annual awards event, conduct forums on topics of interest to innovators, and catalyze connections and communications that provide value to innovators.
InnoVision Awards Ceremony
The InnoVision Awards honors distinguished South Carolina organizations, individuals, educators, and students who set new standards for innovation and technology advancement. Awards are conferred in six categories: Technology Development, Technology Application, Small Business, Sustainability, Community Service, and Education. During the Awards Celebration, InnoVision also recognizes educational programs that encourage young people in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math through the Ibrahim Janajreh Young Innovator Award. The Awards Celebration culminates with announcing and presenting the prestigious Dr. Charles Townes Individual Achievement Award, which recognizes decades of significant contributions to South Carolina innovation.
InnoVision Forums
InnoVision Forums are designed to engage and inform the business community on a variety of trending innovation topics through presentations and panel discussions. Afterward, attendees are invited to stay to network and share ideas. We invite Sponsors to suggest topics, serve as speakers/moderators, and/or host an event, which typically brings together 30 – 50 attendees.
Meet the Finalists Event
After the pandemic forced us to pivot to virtual introductions, we’re pleased to announce the 2024 Meet the Finalists event will be in-person and open to the public! It’s a great opportunity to learn about each of the finalists and their innovations before the Awards Ceremony and network with business leaders from across South Carolina. We expect 100+ registrants for this event.

Over the past 25 years, InnoVision has maintained a loyal following in South Carolina’s innovation space with more than 8,500 contacts subscribed to our newsletters that spotlight innovation news, promote our events and awards ceremony, and highlight sponsors. In addition, we highlight sponsors, events, and innovation to 600+ followers through LinkedIn. We also have strong relationships with other leading South Carolina organizations who forward our event announcements to their members, thus expanding our reach.
